Purple Power Play on Poyntz

Purple Power Play on Poyntz is a tradition in Manhattan before K-State's first home football game. A portion of downtown is blocked off, and set up for a two evening party! There are games for the kids, food vendors, booths from area merchants, and LOTS of K-State purple!!

One of the booths had ladder golf for kiddos. Mason started out playing it right. As soon as he threw the first "balls", and they went over the ladder, he decided it was going to be a difficult game to play.
So, true to Mason's style, he took the rest of the "balls" and walked right up to the ladder and hung them on. Then he smiled, and asked for his prize (some candy).
This was Mason's favorite!! The Manhattan Fire Department had a small house set up with collapsable windows. The windows had flames of fire painted on them. The kids got to spray water on the "fire" (with the help of a fireman, of course!) Mason thought this was the best! He loved spraying the water!!

The inflatable carnival.
Mason walking in the castle, and daddy watching.
Maiya was too shy to do any of the games. She stood with mommy and enjoyed a strawberry slushie.
We watched the younger girls' competitive gymnastic team do a tumbling demonstration. Mason and Maiya are getting pretty good at somersaults of their own!
Mason meets up with Leonardo, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!
