KSU Open House

This morning we visited the open house at KSU. Our first stop was the Veterinary Medicine teaching hospital. We took Tanner the Frog and BreAnn the Cat to the hospital for treatment. Here Mason is checking Tanner in. He had to tell the 'doctor' (a first year vet student), his frog's name, age, favorite food, favorite playtime activity, and why he needed to see a vet today! Maiya did the same with BreAnn, then we sat in the waiting area until the doctor was ready to see us.

Maiya told the doctor that BreAnn hurt her leg climbing in a tree. The doctor took BreAnn's temperature, and listened to her heart and lungs.

Then she wrapped BreAnn's leg with a special bandage.
Mason told the doctor that Tanner had a tummy ache. The doctor said maybe Tanner ate a bad fly! Tanner has to take medicine until he feels better.
After BreAnn and Tanner were taken care of, we visited Call Hall for some K-State ice cream. Much to Mason's delight, there was a combine parked in the yard there! You can imagine how excited he was. He said, "I'm gonna tell Papa!" We also got to see chicks, bunnies, cows, horses, cats, dogs, birds and even some snakes on campus. The kids had a great time.
