Last Friday we went to the annual pep rally before the first home football game. They have a big celebration downtown and call it Purple Power Play on Poyntz. There's games set up for the kids, and lots of food vendors and businesses handing out advertisements. On the main stage is entertainment and at the end of the evening, the KSU band, cheerleaders and dance team perform. And to top it all off, a big fireworks display.
