When we loaded the truck in Manhattan, it was a very cold, rainy day. It didn't deter the kids, however! They wanted to be outside as much as possible, playing on the ramp of the truck.

We left Manhattan around noon, and started unpacking the truck in Minneola about 5 p.m. With the help of some family and friends, we were able to have everything unloaded that evening by 9 p.m. , and the truck back to Dodge City by 9 a.m. the next morning!
The kids are very excited to be in Minneola, close to cousins and grandparents. Mason is especially happy to be taking part in fall harvest! He's already logged some hours on the combine with Uncle Judd.
Maiya is not letting us forget that we are supposed to get a new puppy. She wants a brown and white one, "just like Emma." (Emma is the dog from her daycare in Manhattan that she loved to feed and take care of.) We did bring Skylar back to our house in Minneola. Skylar has been living at the farm while we were in Manhattan. She is enjoying all the attention from the kids, and we think she remembers her "home."
Matt has started his job and can't believe that is really is just 8-5! They even encourage him to take a break in the morning and afternoon, and he has one hour for lunch!
Thanks for praying for us as we continue to get settled...again. We are still working on daycare, preschool and my job.
