We took the kids on a surprise trip to an Oz museum . We didn't tell them where we were taking them. When we got to the parking lot, Maiya saw the signs with Dorothy and the other characters, and got very excited. She said, "Is this the surprise?" I said, "Yes, we're at a Wizard of Oz Museum." She said, "Are you kidding me?"
She was very happy!

They had several re-creations of the most famous scenes.

After the Oz museum, we visited an Air museum. Daddy was very interested. The kids really just liked a few parts, this helicopter for one.
There was an area where kids could experiment with different things related to flying. Here's Mason sitting in the control booth looking at the plane above. The next picture shows the plane and the rudders that he's controlling.
We walked outside to see some larger jets and a plane flew by as we were outside!
After a trip to Pizza Hut, we drove to a park with lots of shade and played for a while before finally heading home.
