Maiya's Birthday Meal

We had a party with the family after lunch.
Our kids are always blessed with lots and lots of family at their parties.
After the family party, we had our first birthday party with friends. Our new pastor's daughter turned six the day before Maiya. They asked if we wanted to do a party together. We had LOTS of kids and the kids had so much fun. (But please remind me not to ever do this again...)
Three-legged race and digging for prizes in the sand box.
Cupcakes and ice cream for all the kids. Thank you, Grandma LeAnn for cupcakes for school and the party with friends, AND the cake for the family.
Both families contributed to the party and we had some parents and family stick around to help police all these kids in the backyard. We agreed that neither girl really needed presents from their friends since they get spoiled by family. On our invitation, we requested guests instead make a donation to Courage Homes, a ministry started this year by some friends or ours. (Please click on the link to read more.) We are happy to be sending almost $200 and the above group picture to the ministry. Thanks everyone for your generous donations!
