Maiya's First Day of Kindergarten

Our little girl is ready to go to Kindergarten!  (I wish mommy was ready...)

All the grade school classes meet in the gymnasium first thing for special announcements and the flag salute.

Kindergarten and First Grade all sat on the front row, but it was hard for me to get a picture with Mason and Maiya in it.  If you look closely, you will find them!

The teachers did a skit this morning that had reminders of what all kids should do every day:  Get lots of sleep; eat a good breakfast; listen with your ears and your eyes; write your name on  your papers; be on time; and read lots of books!  They also announced their "theme' for the year:  If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It!

Mason's class waits quietly as they take turns putting their backpacks in the hallway lockers then go to the restroom.  Mason has 20 kids in his class this year; Maiya has 10.
