Happy 7th Birthday, Maiya!

What a blessing it is to celebrate the day that all 4 lbs. and 4 oz. of you were born!

Mason was just 9 1/2 months old, and Mommy and Daddy had their hands full...literally!

Laying on the floor with your brother (who was napping), you made him look ginormous.

You are definitely our princess.  Your dimples and blue eyes easily make anyone smile.

You do like taking care of the cows with Daddy, but you also like to help Mommy in the kitchen.  You told me that if I get sick again, you will be able to cook the meals for us.  :)

It was only a week ago that you learned to ride your bicycle without training wheels and today, very proudly, you rode your bike to school.  Gymnastics is still a lot of fun for you.  A few weeks ago you learned to do a back handspring by yourself on our trampoline and are very close to doing one on the mats at class.  If you are not playing with your American Girl Doll, Madison, you are standing on the coffee table with the microphone singing or cheering for your brother as he plays basketball.  You also like to play schoolteacher.  I learn a lot about what goes on at school through this!  Through Awana, childrens music CD's and Sunday school, you have memorized a lot of scripture, and can finish even more if Daddy or I start you off.  Proverbs 3:5-6 seems to be a favorite of yours and Daddy and I couldn't be happier!  We love you dearly!!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6
