Maiya's Birthday Party
It was a very warm Saturday in March for Maiya's 7th birthday.
The wind helped Maiya blow out the candles.
We had a big group of kids. It was so hot out, they were begging for drinks and ice cream!
They played several games. Bobbing for apples was a hit since everyone was so hot! Well, except for Mason and Maiya...they didn't think it looked like fun.
Our parachute provided some entertainment for a while.
We also had a bean bag game, and the kids dug in the sandbox for "treasure."
We allowed Maiya to invite a lot of friends with the condition that we request thay not bring gifts. Rather than gifts, we suggested donations to World Vision. Maiya's goal was to have enough money to buy a goat and a rabbit for a needy woman and her children in another country.
We were very excited to see that our family and friends donated more than twice what we had hoped for! Thanks to everyone!
