Maiya Turns 9

Maiya wanted another gymnastics themed birthday party this year.

Because of being gone for gymnastics meets and a trip to Denver, we had a small party a week after her actual birth day.  She got a new bike from us. She also got some clothes, Lego Friends and money.

For the official party at our house, Maiya did the decorating.  Red and black tablecloths in Flip Zone colors and the banner that the nurses bought for her 5th birthday party we had in ICU in Denver.

And, so there's no confusion...

Maiya actually competed on her birthday:

She had a great meet, earning 3 personal best scores!!

After the meet, we headed to Denver.  I had an appointment the following day and our good friends also drove to Denver that day for appointments the following day.  We met them for an evening meal at Panera Bread, Maiya's choice. Maiya chose a giant cinnamon roll to share with her friends.

In the morning, Matt and I took 3 of the Conard's and our kiddos to a trampoline park in Denver.
They had a blast!!

My appointment was in the afternoon and Mr. Conard took all the kids swimming.  That evening we ate with our friends at Olive Garden.  Maiya got to celebrate her birthday one more time.

The Olive Garden staff sang "Happy Birthday" with us and gave Maiya a free chocolate dessert!

The boys had fun, together, too.

We made a stop at the American Girl Doll Store before heading home the next day.

What a busy weekend!  We are so blessed to spend 'vacation' time with our good friends.  We all had a great time.
