The Easter Bunny left gifts for Mason and Maiya this morning! Maiya told me that she heard the Easter Bunny come in our house during the night!
All dressed up for Easter Sunday.
We had a feast at our house after Sunday church. Kirstie helped me get the house and food ready for 8 adults and 6 kids. Matt's mom prepared a lot of the food, and our friend brought homemade rolls.
After lunch, we hid plastic eggs in the house (twice!) since it was a cold, rainy day here. The kids had a great time hunting all over for the eggs.
Matt's mom made a bunny cake and one little boy was very interested in all that pretty frosting!
Later in the afternoon, Mason sat with his friend (who isn't speaking a whole lot) and said, "N wants some cake! I'll eat some, too."
We were so very blessed to have a house full of family and friends on such a special day! What a great time to celebrate being a Christian!
At church today, Maiya stayed in the sanctuary and witnessed communion for the first time that she can remember. She was obviously paying attention to the pastor's words. She was sitting on my lap and carefully watched me as I drank the grape juice. Then she whispered in my ear, "You drank the blood. That's gross!"
