Volcano!!

Mason got a volcano kit for Christmas.  The snow days from school were a good opportunity to see how it works!



We molded the volcano several days ago.  It had to set up for 24 hours before we could make it "explode."

First, we had to fill it with room temperature ginger ale.

Then we drop in 5 of the tablets that came with the kit.  Mason was so nervous putting the tablets in.  He was sure a big, hot, red explosion was going to cover the whole house!

Much to his disappointment, it only fizzled when he dropped in the tablets.  He kept watching it, waiting for a big explosion.
