The blizzard hit today! I took this picture out our front door about 6:00 pm. I did go to work, since it's only 3 blocks away. I had to use four wheel drive to get out of the driveway this morning then the roads were OK going the rest of the way. Getting home was another story! I left work at about 1:30 pm, and volunteered to take another worker home. She lives on the other side of town. We walked through snow to our knees just to get to my Jeep, then had trouble just seeing a half a block ahead of us while we were driving. It was definitely a white-out. I know why they closed the highways around us! My Jeep drove fine on the roads, I just had trouble seeing from all the blowing snow. I got home to some kids (and a husband!) with cabin fever! Mason has been asking since he woke at 6:30 am to go out in the snow. Hopefully the wind will go down tomorrow and we can go outside and play a little bit.
I'm hoping to get more pics tomorrow, also, when the wind goes down. The drifts are unbelievable. What's even crazier is that there are bare spots of ground in some areas because of the wind!!
